Installing a New Database

To install a new, blank database, you need to run the Database Setup Wizard. For details, please see the Database Setup Wizard topic. You can run this application from the Start menu.

Caution:
If you have not yet backed up your current database, do so now. See the Backing up the Database topic for details. Once you click Yes in this dialog box, your current database will be deleted.

Tip:
If you are new to ServiceCEO, we highly recommend that you get familiar with ServiceCEO by restoring a demo/training database from the Database Library before you start running your business on your live database.

On the Install Database page of the Database Setup Wizard, select Blank Database.

When the Database Setup Wizard closes, the blank database is loaded into ServiceCEO; you can now start configuring it. See the Configuration Overview section to get started.
