Note: |
When the Welcome to the Microsoft SQL Server Installation Wizard screen appears, click Next. The System Configuration Check dialog box appears and will inspect your computer for any issues that may cause problems with the installation.
If any tests fail, you should review the error messages and take the appropriate action. Note that some warnings may be for informational purposes only, and may not cause any problems with the installation of SQL Server. Whether or not a test is informational or not is difficult to tell. With that in mind, we recommend that you contact the appropriate vendor for more information about any warnings that occur before you continue installing SQL Server.
Optionally, you can save these errors and warnings to a report file by clicking Report and selecting Save Report to File from the pop-up menu.
Click Next. The installation will begin. After a minute, the Registration Information dialog box appears.
Type the name of the SQL Server administrator into the Name field.
Type the name of your company into the Company field.
Type your product key into the registration information fields.
Click Next. The Components to Install dialog box appears:
Select the SQL Server Database Services check box.
Select the Integration Services check box. All other check boxes are optional but not required.
Click Advanced. The Feature Selection dialog box appears.
Expand the tree to see the Client Components/Management Tools section.
Click Management Tools and select Entire Feature will be installed on local Hard Drive from the pop-up menu.
