You can connect multiple ServiceCEO users to the same database via a network. There are two different types of networks:
Local Network. A Local Area Network (LAN Short for Local Area Network. A computer network that spans a relatively small area. Most LANs connect workstations and personal computers.) consists of computers that are in the same physical location. For example, if you have seven computers in the same office building all working off of the same database, you are running a LAN.
Note that a LAN is typically protected by a firewall from resources that are not located within the network (like the internet).
External Network. A Wide Area Network (WAN Short for Wide Area Network. A computer network, typically connected through the Internet, that spans a relatively large geographical area.) consists of multiple computers in separate physical locations connected via the Internet. Examples of WANs include:
A user at home connecting to the ServiceCEO database located in their work office.
An employee based in Wichita, Kansas logging onto a ServiceCEO database located in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Regardless of the type of network you are running, you need to configure all client computers running ServiceCEO so that they are pointing at the server computer The computer hosting the ServiceCEO database. As opposed to a "client" computer, which is a user computer connecting to the ServiceCEO database on the server computer., as detailed in the Connecting the Client to a Local Database section.
