Transferring Inventory

Transferring (or moving) inventory between stock locations An location, like a warehouse or a truck, where inventory is stored. In ServiceCEO, office locations and teams (and, in ServiceCEO Enterprise, branch and regional offices) can be identified as Stock Locations. is typically a two step process:

  1. Create the Transfer Request. Transfers are created when you assign an inventory item to a job that occurs in a different stock location then where the stock is originally located. See Creating Pending Transfers for more.
When you tell ServiceCEO that you want to transfer inventory items from one location to another, three things occur:

All pending transfers are displayed on the Pending Transfer tab.

  2. Complete a pending transfer. When a transfer is completed, the items in the destination stock location are no longer flagged as "Pending Transfer". For instructions on completing a transfer, see the Completing Transfers section.
Keep in mind that a stock location's totals are NOT updated with the transferred inventory until the transfer is completed.

Note!

Note:
On order
items (items on a Purchase Order that have not yet been received from the vendor) may be marked as pending transfer, but the transfer cannot be completed until the items are first received.
