Transferring (or moving) inventory between stock locations An location, like a warehouse or a truck, where inventory is stored. In ServiceCEO, office locations and teams (and, in ServiceCEO Enterprise, branch and regional offices) can be identified as Stock Locations. is typically a two step process:
Create the Transfer
Request. Transfers are created when you assign
an inventory item to a job that occurs in a different stock
location then where the stock is originally located. See Creating
Pending Transfers for more.
When you tell ServiceCEO that you want to transfer inventory items
from one location to another, three things occur:
A transfer request is created.
The transferred items are removed from their original stock location An location, like a warehouse or a truck, where inventory is stored. In ServiceCEO, office locations and teams (and, in ServiceCEO Enterprise, branch and regional offices) can be identified as Stock Locations..
They are added to the destination stock location with a Pending Transfer flag. This flag is visible from the Inventory dialog box (accessed by clicking the appropriate Qty Assigned field from the Inventory Management Grid).
All pending transfers are displayed on the Pending Transfer tab.
Complete
a pending transfer. When a transfer is completed, the items in
the destination stock location are no longer flagged as "Pending
Transfer". For instructions on completing a transfer, see the Completing Transfers section.
Keep in mind that a stock location's totals are NOT updated with the
transferred inventory until the transfer is completed.
