The Payroll page of the Completion Wizard

Previous Topic: The Payments page of the Completion Wizard

To access the Payroll page of the Completion Wizard, click Next from the Payments page of the Completion Wizard.

This page displays the payroll data for all employees and/or sales reps who worked on the job. Unless an employee's Time Card has been processed (see below), the Duration figure is derived from the General page of the Completion Wizard, and the Role, Type, and Rate fields default to the values as entered in the employee's Payroll Setup Tab. If a tip has been entered on the Payments page, it will be divided among all employees (as long as that employee's role is Works On-Site).

From this page, you can:

When you have verified that all of the payroll information is correct, click Next. The Invoice page appears.

Payroll and Time Cards

If an employee's time card has been processed, an icon will appear before the employee's name: Time Card Edit Icon In addition, the values from the time card will be used to calculate the employee's payroll amount for this job, not the job's start and end time. For example, if the job is scheduled from 8:00 - 11:30 AM, but the employee's time card reads 8:00 - 10:30 AM, then the employee's duration will be 2.5 rather then 3.5 in the Completion Wizard. You will also see a note stating "Entered using Time Card" next to the Duration field when editing the employee's payroll item.

Time Blocks that are added or edited via MobileTech will display the MobileEdit icon in ServiceCEO: The MobileEdit icon.

For more on how submitting a time card for an employee effects their payroll and the job, read the Results of Editing a Time Card topic.

Payroll and Paychecks

If a paycheck has already been generated for any of the employees in this dialog box, their payroll will be read-only and cannot be edited. These items will be marked by a red PD in the left of their payroll line.

Since commissions are calculated during completion, employees that have been paid for a job before it was completed will have not been paid any commissions for that job. While we highly recommend that you complete jobs before paying your employees, if an employee is due commissions on a job for which they have already been paid, a warning icon will appear, and the commissions owed that employee will be displayed in red. Since this commission amount WILL NOT automatically be paid, you will need to manually add a new payroll line item for the employee that covers the value of this commission.
