Tasks Overview

A task is an action that needs to be performed outside of the scope of a job or schedule. ServiceCEO tasks are generally created and completed on the Tasks tab of the Office Duties page. You can also create tasks from a customer or job record in ServiceCEO, which avoids the need to link the task to an associated record. Tasks are an excellent way to track follow up calls on open estimates A internal record of proposed work for a customer. An estimate is identical to a job but, because it records proposed rather then planned work, it does not appear on the calendar. Not to be confused with a Quote. and jobs A unique occurrence of a service. Also the record of the specific service created by schedule. Note that the term Job is customizable. Open the Tasks page by clicking Office Duties from the Navigator bar. Since the Tasks tab is the first tab on the Office Duties page, it automatically appears.

Note:
Generally, a task can only be seen by users who are either explicitly assigned to the task or are owners of the task. Tasks assigned to a team or a group of employees can be seen by all applicable employees. The administrator has the ability to see all tasks in the system.
