Because configuring ServiceCEO for customer access means that your server will be exposed to the Internet, you should make sure that you have downloaded and installed all of the latest patches from Microsoft. These patches will ensure that the security on this computer is completely up to date.
To check for Windows updates, do one of two things:
Select Start > Windows Update (this path might be slightly different depending on the operating system you are running)
Point your browser to http://www.windowsupdate.com
The Microsoft Windows Update page appears. Click the Check for Updates link. Microsoft will scan your computer and determine what you need to install. If you are unsure of what to install, we highly recommend you at least install all of the Critical Updates and Service Packs. However, it is a good idea to install everything Microsoft recommends that you install on your computer.
Follow the instructions. You many need to reboot your computer when you are finished.
